22–23 Mar 2025 359 days to go! #GetOutside

Fancy a bushcraft getaway?

We interviewed James Lynam, owner and instructor at Learn Bushcraft to find out what they will be doing at the National Outdoor Expo…
1. What can visitors expect to find at your stand at the show?
Visitors can expect to take advantage of our discounted Bushcraft Taster Days and Bushcraft Weekends with our show prices. Enter a raffle to win a free place on a Bushcraft Taster Day. We will also be offering the chance to win an Easter hamper full of goodies.
2. Will you have any product launches or exclusive products available at the show?
For the first time, we will have available our new range of fire lighting equipment at our discounted show prices. We will be holding all 2021 events in a brand new woodland that is full of amazing features, loads of materials and wildlife.
3. Where is your favourite place to enjoy the great outdoors?
I am happiest when I’m in the woods, with nothing but a fire, and the animals. I can really become connected with the wild.
4. What is your one piece of advice for newcomers?
My advice for newcomers within the bushcraft environment is to believe. People are more capable and adapting than what we believe we are. Having a good knowledge of the basics will send you well on your way.
5. Who do you love to follow on social for outdoor inspiration?
There are loads of great survivalists on social media. I like to follow loads of people. My favourites being Ed Stafford and Ray Mears
“It’s a really exciting opportunity for us to be at the National Outdoor Expo in March. It will give us the opportunity to really take Learn Bushcraft forward. With more and more people now using the outdoors, this is the perfect opportunity to showcase what we have on offer, the experiences that can be had and to educate people about looking after our natural world. I’m looking forward to meeting other people like ourselves, to share knowledge, tips and experiences”
