Making the mountains accessible for all

Talking about their involvement at the 2021 National Outdoor Expo, Tim Morgan, Inventor and Managing Director at the Mountain Trike Company, says,
“This will be our first time at the National Outdoor Expo as an exhibitor, I’m really looking forward to meeting lots of like-minded visitors and also other exhibitors to talk all things outdoors! I invented the Mountain Trike as a practical, off-road capable wheelchair to give everyone the opportunity to access the great outdoors – we have many customers worldwide whose lives we have already changed by enabling them to do the things they love – despite their ability.  I am very excited to be exhibiting with our all terrain wheelchair products at the National Outdoor Expo and can’t wait to engage with visitors.”
Our quick-fire five question interview:
1. What can visitors expect to find at your stand at the show?
The Mountain Trike Company is very excited to be exhibiting at the National Outdoor Expo.  The team will be on hand to chat about our all terrain wheelchairs and provide demos and of course talk about outdoor accessible adventures.
2. Will you have any product launches or exclusive products available at the show?
Come and see and try the eTrike – a unique all terrain wheelchair that can be ridden manually or with power assist. Since launching this product last year it has been a real game changer for customers of varying abilities and ages to access the outdoors.
3. Where is your favourite place to enjoy the great outdoors?
The UK has so many amazing outdoor spaces, for an exhilarating day out I love exploring the forest in Cannock Chase, in Staffs –  it offers numerous self-guided walking and family cycling trails, including routes for people with disabilities. When I can get back home to visit family I’ll always find time to visit Newborough Beach in North Wales – it is part of the National Nature Reserve so combines beach and forest which for me are the perfect outdoor places to explore.
4.What is your one piece of advice for newcomers?
For us customer safety and enjoyment is always at the forefront of what we do.  We offer demos and a hire scheme of our all terrain wheelchairs and encourage this so people can try out and experience our products to ensure they are right for their individual needs.
5. Who do you love to follow on social for outdoor inspiration?
Steve Brown, presenter, athlete and motivational speaker – Steve is always keeping active, sharing his wildlife stories and an advocate for making the great outdoors accessible and as inclusive as possible.  I also like to see what Ade Adepitan is up to – he is a travel journalist and as a wheelchair user has travelled to some amazing places – I can’t help but think that a Mountain Trike would be perfect for both of them!
