Raccoon Events is an exciting and dynamic UK events business run by a group of exhibition and digital marketing experts. The team at Raccoon Events is small, but has a wealth of event experience – collectively over 80 years of organising exhibitions and conferences in key locations all over the world.

We set up Raccoon because we wanted to create exhibitions that offer something new and different in underserved markets that we understand and that we love. We believe that great events are about community, fun, innovation and excitement and we hope that we offer you that with The National Outdoor Expo.

Esther Beal

Commercial Director

Esther is the Commercial Director for The National Outdoor Expo. She has worked in the events industry for the past 18 years, running b2b shows across foodservice and healthcare. She is excited to now be working on a launch event which promotes wellbeing in such a positive consumer space. When not working, she enjoys long walks with her two dogs and exploring other parts of the world.

Hannah Hopwood

Marketing Manager

Hannah is the Marketing Manager for the National Running Shows. With years of experience, Hannah has worked across a range of social media campaigns for B2B and B2C events, as well as a number of community projects. When Hannah isn’t working she loves running (pretty slowly) in the countryside and swimming in the sea.

Mike Seaman


I’m Mike, and I’m a keen runner and outdoor enthusiast. I can regularly be found running on the trails in the Surrey Hills and enjoy any form of outdoor exercise. I’ve completed several marathons, a few ultra-marathons and other challenges such as the 3 peaks. I am passionate about sustainability and being active.

I’m Jo, Chief Marketing Officer for Raccoon Events working across all of the event brands. With over 20-years’ experience in the events industry, my specialty is launching new products and enhancing user experience. In my spare time I also run to keep fit (with the occasional half marathon) and love enjoying the great outdoors with my husband and two kids.

Ben is a marketing Assistant at Raccoon Events. After recently graduating from university in the summer of 2021 he is keen to work within the sports industry and enhancing his marketing skills. He enjoys playing football regularly too.

Sophie is the Marketing Assistant for Raccoon Events. She Graduated in 2020 is now keen to progress in the marketing and events industry. Sophie enjoys leading a healthy lifestyle and feels passionate about the positive effects health and fitness has on our mental and physical well-being. When she’s not at work, you can either find her getting stuck into a book or exploring the great outdoors (weather dependant!).

Maelstrom Event Solutions offer clients a one-stop event management service from initial planning right through to post event analysis. We have many years experience of organising and managing exhibitions, conferences and other events for organisers, associations and corporate clients.

Maddy seaman

Finance Director

Maddy is Mike’s wife/partner in crime and Finance Director for Raccoon Events. Maddy is also a professional photographer and takes many of the show photographs, when she’s not looking after the kids. You’ll often find her cheering on and crewing Mike on one of his many running adventures.
