Amira is the founder of The Wanderlust Women, a hiking and adventure group for Muslim women.
Her vision is to normalise Muslim women exploring the great outdoors, and to make women feel confident when they are on an adventure. She believes representation is important and is using her voice to make changes and raise awareness about the barriers Muslim women face, and to remove the stigma attached to Muslim women.
The outdoors is her office now, having recently moved to the Lakes to peruse her career in the outdoors. She is currently training to become a mountain leader and everyday is a new adventure – that’s why she’s called Amira the wanderlust, always wandering!
