In today’s fast-paced world, finding time to focus on health and well-being is a challenge for many. According to a recent survey conducted by Walk the Walk, a leading cancer charity, nearly half of women (48%) feel they don’t make enough time for themselves. This is often due to the overwhelming demands of daily life, with 54% saying they feel they don’t have enough hours in the day and 48% putting others’ needs above their own.
But what if there was a way to prioritise your health while making a meaningful difference in the lives of others? Walk the Walk is here to show you how. With a mission to raise awareness and vital funds for those living with breast and other cancers, Walk the Walk encourages people to embrace the simple yet transformative power of walking. Since its inception, Walk the Walk has raised over £143 million, funding vital cancer care programs and campaigns to support those living with breast and other cancers. By walking with us, you’re not just improving your health – you’re changing lives.
Why Walking Matters
Walking is more than just a form of exercise; it’s a way to recharge physically, mentally, and emotionally. The survey revealed that 71% of people feel more productive after taking time out for themselves, and 90% agree it’s important to do activities that benefit their mental and physical health. It’s no wonder that 57% of respondents said they go for a walk to boost their well-being, with 69% walking at least once or twice a week specifically for this purpose.
Despite these benefits, many find it hard to prioritize self-care. Walk the Walk aims to change this by providing opportunities for people to combine walking with purpose through their unique and inspiring fundraising challenges.
