Molly Thompson-Smith

Molly Thompson-Smith is a world-class British competition climber and a five-time UK national champion. She began climbing at age seven and quickly rose through the ranks, becoming the youngest person to win a British senior lead climbing title at just 15. In 2017, she made history as the first British woman to win a medal in a Lead World Cup event, securing a bronze in Slovenia.

Molly is a dedicated athlete who has overcome significant injuries, including a serious finger injury and a broken ankle, to continue competing at the highest level. Her perseverance paid off when she qualified for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, realizing a lifelong dream.

Beyond her athletic achievements, Molly is a strong advocate for diversity and inclusion in climbing. She works as an ambassador for the British Mountaineering Council to help make the sport more accessible and welcoming to people from all backgrounds.
