Leaping Fish is a family business which began with a desire to provide environmentally-friendly products to help serious and not-so-serious sportsmen and women who want to enjoy their activities without damaging their world. Barnaby Quaddy, founder of Leaping Fish, started the business when, as a rower, he struggled to find a UK-made natural anti-chafing solution to help prevent friction sores and blisters during long distance rowing races and so developed the first product Rowers Rub.
Barnaby has rowed Cornish Pilot Gigs with Swanage Sea Rowing Club for over 10 years and rowed regularly at the World Pilot Gig Championships, Newquay County Championships, the 21 ½ mile Great River Race (London), the Castle to Crane (Glasgow) and taken crews to the An Ras Mor in Cork, Ireland as well as the Traversee de Paris. He has also participated in triathlons, endurance cycling (Lands End to John O’Groats and to the Romanian Black Sea), running and other sports events. Following from the success of Rowers Rub, Leaping Fish has developed one of the largest ranges of products tailored to specific sports and activity events to help protect their skin from damage; the products contain only natural ingredients, are chemical free and where possible are vegan for a sustainable future.
