CampWild are stoked to be hosting the Wild Camping Zone at the National Outdoor Expo for 2024! Come and join us at Stand G20 to immerse yourself in the world of wild camping, with regular skills sessions & talks, where you can drop in and ask the experts your questions. You can also catch us on the Skills Stage, where we will share the stories of wild camping adventures, the benefits it can bring & how to get started.

10AM – Wild Camping Zone Talk 1 (30 mins)
Simplifying Kit for Wild Camping – Vango
Join the Vango team (including their very own head of design) as they explore the basics of the kit needed for wild camping and how this should remain simple and accessible. The team will be exploring tents, sleep systems and cooking equipment as well as the innovative grading system that has been brought to life with CampWild.

12PM – Wild Camping Zone talk 2  (25mins) 

A beginners guide to wild camping –  Tim Monaghan (author)
Join author and adventure enthusiast Tim Monaghan as he peels back the layers that formed the foundation of his best selling book ‘The Essential Guide to Wild Camping: A beginners handbook”.’

2PM -Wild Camping Zone Talk 3 (20mins)

Redefining Conservation – Oxygen Conservation
Oxygen Conservation has a commitment to Scaling Conservation to deliver positive environmental and social impact. Join Oxygen Conservation’s Engagement Specialist, Abbey Dudas as she gives an insight as to how Oxygen Conservation are acquiring land across the UK and restoring natural processes to protect and restore natural and built environments.

3PM – Wild Camping Zone Talk 4 (20mins)

Social Prescribing in a Temperate Rainforest – Aydin Boyacigiller (Greenwood Music)
Aydin Boyacigiller explores the positive physical and mental benefits of prescribing time in nature and how he is working to deliver this within a temperate rainforest in Cornwall. Join Aydin as he beautifully demonstrates how we can work in harmony with nature to improve well being whilst protecting a very special and rare habitat.

Unlocking Land – Heritage, Agriculture, & Recreation – Forest Fields 

Join Jessie as she talks about the history that runs through her farmlands and how they have created a thriving community through both farming and recreation. 

2PM – Wild Camping Zone Talk 8 (30 mins)
How to Rewild Everywhere – Life to Land
Join Life to Land founder Chris D’agrone as he talks through his project and how it is making the world of rewilding accessible and achievable for us all…in our own back gardens! The ‘3 D’s’ are like an interpreter for the language of nature. Once you understand these three dimensions, the ecosystems beyond your front door will just start to make sense. Chris will walk through what the 3 D’s are; how to understand them, and how to use them to create a garden that’s bursting with biodiversity. 

4PM – Wild Camping Zone Talk 9 (30 mins)
Simplifying Kit for Wild Camping – Vango
Join the Vango team (including their very own head of design) and some special guests in collaboration with Ordnance Survey, as they explore the basics of the kit needed for wild camping and how this should remain simple and accessible. The team will be exploring tents, sleep systems and cooking equipment as well as the innovative grading system that has been brought to life with CampWild.
