Turned off by the sexism and the competitiveness she encountered in courses and groups, Bex almost gave up on her newly discovered love of getting outdoors. Instead, she set up Love Her Wild. Now one of the largest outdoor communities in the world, Love Her Wild is an award-winning non-profit responsible for taking thousands of women on adventures each year.
Bex has proven adventures are for everyone, even those with an aversion to movement, who grew up indoors in a town with a reputation for being a ‘concrete jungle’! Bex has hiked 1000km the length of Israel, kayaked the width of the UK, kick-scooted the length of the USA and taken her baby on a desert adventure. She believes those least represented in the outdoors are the ones who reap the biggest benefits.
Named one of the UK’s Top 30 inspirational Entrepreneurs, Bex’s next book (Family Adventures, Bloomsbury 2024) will focus on another under-represented group in adventure; families.
