Caroline Dawson

Caroline, also known as Caz, is a skilled Stand Up Paddle Board (SUP) Coach and Adventure Guide, deeply passionate about outdoor activities.

Her award winning business, SUP Lass Paddle Adventures, is situated on the edge of the Clwydian Range and Dee Valley Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB), granting her access to a variety of stunning paddle locations. These include the majestic River Dee, the renowned Llangollen Canal, as well as several lakes and coastlines. Caz has led numerous expeditions abroad and will return to Scandinavia this year for multi-day journeys, focusing on making adventures inclusive, especially for women.

Having conquered various paddle challenges such as the Great Glen, Trent 100, Loch Awe, Wye150, Conwy Ascent, and the Nautic Paddle, among others, Caz is gearing up for her next ambitious feat in summer 2024 – becoming the first woman to SUP over 300km of the upper reaches of the Amazon in Peru. She is a regular participant in the Dee Bore, a spot highlighted by BBC Wales.

In the past, Caz managed the award-winning outdoor kitchen ‘Fodder in the Field’, where she cooked local and seasonal ingredients in scenic locations like mountain tops and forests. She has seamlessly integrated this culinary experience into her paddling expeditions, offering unique SUP + Cook adventures on the water.

Caz also serves as a Trustee for the Welsh Dee Trust.
