Although I work a full time job in the sports and technology industry, I am passionate about getting outdoors and enjoying the rivers and hills on offer.
My most frequent passion is kayaking, in which I compete internationally, and have recently finished 6th in the ICF Freestyle Kayak World Championships. This was a great achievement and made the time on the river training in all weather conditions even more worthwhile.
In addition to kayaking, I enjoy other water based activities such as paddle boarding, surfing, and swimming. When not in the water, I am learning the routes, crags and valleys of the Peak District having recently moved to Sheffield. I am also aiming to improve my climbing and bouldering, which seems a necessity in Sheffield with so many great places nearby.
Overall, I just enjoy being outdoors and being able to experience different aspects of life – the challenge excited me. I hope that it is possible to show that despite working, it is possible to have those 5 to 9 adventures, make the most of weekends, and still pursue adventure activities!
