Kate Appleby is a climber, hiker, swimmer and all round outdoors fanatic, living in the Lake District. Kate suffers from a number of chronic, incurable illnesses, such as Lupus, which impact her active lifestyle and she uses social media to help enable and encourage those with limited mobility to get out and about.
Regularly setting herself endurance challenges to raise awareness of the plight of those with disability or reduced access, Kate climbed the height of Everest in one weekend at Kendal Climbing Wall in 2021
