Wunmi is Head of Expeditions for British Exploring Society, where she leads the development of new programmes, oversees the safe delivery of youth expeditions and manages volunteer leader recruitment and retention.
Before joining British Exploring Society, she worked globally training civil servants in delivering community-based education initiatives. For several years she worked in the international community of Girl Guiding and Girl Scouting, supporting national youth organisations to diversify their programmes in response to the changing needs of young people and piloted youth programmes covering topics from environmental leadership to adventure.
As a volunteer, she supports the youth education and international volunteering charity Project Trust as a Trustee and is an active Brownie Leader.
In her spare time, she loves cycling, swimming and travelling, where possible she combines all three and is always keen to explore new countries through adventure-filled expeditions
